To scan a document, you will need the following:
Follow the steps below to begin scanning your document.
Step 1: Turn on your scanner.
Step 2: Launch your scanner software.
Step 3: Place the document onto the flat bed of the scanner or in the automatic document feeder, depending on the type of scanner you have.
Step 4: Select the type of file you want the scanned document to be saved as i.e. PDF, JPEG. Depending on the scanning software you are using, there may be different scan options available to control the quality of the scan. Please note that the higher the resolution, the larger the file size.
Step 5: Click on the "Scan" option/button or any equivalent command on your scanning software to start the scan.
Step 6: Once the scan is completed, you can save the scanned document to your computer.
